‘The Fan,’ a new exclusive online broadband-powered
multimedia player that will provide Comcast High-Speed
internet customers a new medium through which they can
experience video on Comcast’s premier customer
destination site at Comcast.net.
Comcast debuted ‘The
Fan’ today on Comcast.net. The multimedia player
developed by Comcast dynamically features content from
a variety of providers including entertainment, sports,
games and news information. ‘The Fan’ facilitates
navigation through content genres and allows users to
simply click-and-play, watch and save video clips.

integrated software system, which powers ‘The
Fan,’ capable of managing the complexities of
aggregating and publishing large volumes of content
from dozens of content providers and their proprietary
technologies.
