Mark Jennings is the Managing Partner and co-founder of Generation Partners, a $340 million private investment firm with offices in Greenwich, CT and San Francisco, CA.  Generation Partners acquires and provides growth capital to companies primarily in the business & information services, healthcare and media sectors.  Mr. Jennings has been an active private equity investor for 23 years and is responsible for the strategic direction, capital commitments and management of the firm. Prior to founding Generation in 1995, Mr. Jennings was a General Partner at Centre Partners, a private investment firm affiliated with Lazard Frères & Co.  Mr. Jennings began his career at Goldman Sachs & Co. where he advised companies in the areas of financial strategy, public offerings, mergers & acquisitions and leveraged buyouts.

Mr. Jennings has served on the board of directors of 23 companies and currently serves on the boards of Virtual Radiologic Corporation (VRAD) – a leading teleradiology provider which is transforming the practice of interpreting diagnostic images; inVentiv Health (VTIV) -- a leading provider of sales, marketing and data services to the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries; MedVance Institute -- a specialty education company, focused on allied health degrees and career training; Agility Recovery Solutions -- a leading business continuity provider; Sterling Infosystems -- a leading employment screening company; and Six Flags (SIX) -- the world’s largest regional theme park company.

Mr. Jennings also currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Post University, a 120 year-old regionally-accredited university offering Associates, Bachelors and Masters Degrees.  In addition, Mr. Jennings also serves on the Health Policy & Management Executive Council of the Harvard School of Public Health.

Mr. Jennings earned his MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business in 1986 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with Highest Honors from The University of Texas at Austin in 1984, where Mr. Jennings graduated second in his class and received the University's Rhodes Scholarship nomination.
